The GSIP Workshop in Taipei was originally scheduled to take place on June 20-21, 2016. However, due to administrative reasons, the workshop will now occur on the new dates of  June 21-22, 2016.  The venue for the workshop is at EVA Air Training Center, Taoyuan, Taiwan (376 Hsin-nan Road, Sec.1, Luchu. Taoyuan City, Taiwan), 12F, International Conference Room, 2nd Training Building.

By attending the Workshop, participants will gain a better understanding of the most effective ways to gather safety data and conduct risk assessments from both an individual organization and through partnerships with other stakeholders in the aviation industry.




Day One: Tuesday, June 21, 2016

0830 – 0900:   Registration, coffee/tea

0900 – 1030:    Introductory Session: People and project introductions

1030 – 1200:    Information Session on World Risk Management: Assessment results from focus group phase of GSIP; information around ICAO projects; information on other special efforts

1200  – 1300:   Lunch

1300 – 1530:    Toolkit Introduction: Review of toolkit framework; differences by stakeholders

15:30 – 1700:   Data Sources–Risk Management: Hazards vs risks; public risk data/regional risk data; personal Assessment; toolkit–data sources, safety performance and safety performance indicators


Day Two: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

0830 – 0900:   Registration, coffee/tea

0900 – 1030:    Data Analysis –Risk Management Part Two: Post-assessment of data sources portion, analysis and assessment – deeper reviews through tools like bow tie analysis; discussion on assessments

1030 – 1200:     Information Sharing: Post assessment processing of data and organizations that are doing different types of data sharing; examples of organizations and projects and their activities.  Further examination of bow ties approach to sharing data and looking for biggest risk opportunities.

12:00 – 1300:    Lunch

1300 – 1530:      Information Protection–: Cultural (Soft portion of the information; Legal (Regulatory and Legislative considerations) protection section of toolkit;

1530 – 1700:      Results and Takeaways Discussion-Risk Management: Toolkit strengthening; complimentary actions/ideas.

Please note: There is also a heavy emphasis on conducting a detailed survey on the data collection, processing, information sharing and information protection of your organization.
