The GSIP Workshop in Panama City, Panama, will take place May 18-19, 2016. The venue for the Workshop is the Aloft Panama Hotel. By attending the Workshop, participants will gain a better understanding of the most effective ways to gather safety data and conduct risk assessments from both an individual organization and through partnerships with other stakeholders in the aviation industry.




Day One: Wednesday, May 18, 2016

0830 – 0900:   Registration, coffee/tea

0900 – 1030:    Introductory Session: People and project introductions

1030 – 1200:    Information Session on World Risk Management: Assessment results from focus group phase of GSIP; information around ICAO projects; information on other special efforts

1200  – 1300:   Lunch

1300 – 1530:    Toolkit Introduction: Review of toolkit framework; differences by stakeholders

15:30 – 1700:   Data Sources–Risk Management: Hazards vs risks; public risk data/regional risk data; personal Assessment; toolkit–data sources


Day Two: Thursday, May 19, 2016

0830 – 0900:   Registration, coffee/tea

0900 – 1030:    Data Sources–Risk Management Part Two: Post-assessment of data sources portion; discussion on assessments

1030 – 1200:     Data Processing and Analysis–Risk Management: Pre-assessment; data processing and analysis section of toolkit; post assessment

12:00 – 1300:    Lunch

1300 – 1530:      Legal Protection–Risk Management: Pre-assessment; legal protection section of toolkit; post-assessment

1530 – 1700:      Results and Takeaways Discussion-Risk Management: Toolkit strengthening; complimentary actions/ideas.
